A funeral will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 for 90-year-old Ruth Ann Weinrich of Perryville, Mo. passed away July 30, 2023 at Independence Care Center in Perryville, Mo.
She was born November 16, 1932 in Longtown, Mo. to Frank and Hilda (Hacker) Brickhaus, who both preceded her in death.
Ruth and Herbert A. Weinrich were married June 7, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2018.
She is survived by her twin daughters: Karen (Brian) Mitchell of Lee’s Summit, Mo. and Sharon Snell of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a sister: Marilyn (Edward) Bachmann of Eureka, Mo.; a granddaughter: Megan (Chris) Snyder of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; great-granddaughter: Olivia Grace Snyder.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Paul Brickhaus and John Brickhaus; a sister: Grace Brickhaus; and a son-in-law: Rev. Jerry Snell.
She was a homemaker and in her younger days worked as a clerk in the candy department at Roziers.
Ruth was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown where she taught Sunday school and was involved with many church activities.
She was also a member of the American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary.
Ruth enjoyed gardening and crafting.
She was a proud Godparent to 18 children of her friends and relatives and most of all she loved her Lord and Savior and all of her family.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville and will continue from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown.
A funeral service for 90-year-old Ruth Ann Weinrich of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown with Rev. Paul Hoemann officiating.
Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Longtown.
Memorial contributions may be given to Zion Lutheran Church and Serenity Hospice.
