Approximately 25 volunteers helped with the event that takes place the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Cohen Recreation Complex in Chester. On this date the Market served 88 households.
During the month of July the CACFP served 136 households that had a total of 546 individuals. The Pantry accepts donations of both food and money to help feed needy families in the area.
Currently they are in need of fresh produce that people may have from their gardens; box dinners; pancake mix; syrup; canned vegetables; canned soups; meats; pasta; fruits; and other canned goods.
Monetary donations help to fill the various voids that are not filled with food donations.
The next Mobile Market will take place Wednesday August 23 at the Cohen Complex at 8:00 a.m. Jim Beers Photo
