RICHARD J. KRIETE, 74, of Steeleville, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 am, Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Memorial Hospital, Chester, Illinois.
He was born to the late William J. and Lorene (nee Buatte) Kriete on December 12, 1948 on Kaskaskia Island, Illinois.
Richard married Linda Brayfield on July 8, 1967 in Chester, Illinois; she survives.
He had worked as a dock foreman for Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation for 20 years.
Richard was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester. He enjoyed metal detecting, hunting, fishing, gardening, camping and spending time with his family.
