Four persons hurt in Route K crash in Perry County

JEFFERSON CITY — Four Perryville residents were hurt in a traffic crash Thursday afternoon in Perry County.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 23-year-old Cierra A. Leisure and 24-year-old Dalton C. Meyer each had moderate injuries and two three-year-olds, a boy and a girl, had minor injuries.

 

All were taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital by Perry County EMS for treatment.

 

The patrol says the accident happened when a southbound 2010 Dodge Avenger driven by Meyer struck an object in the road which fell from the bed of a northbound 2008 Ford F350 driven by 27-year-old Kaleb Dauster of Perryville.

 

The patrol says the two three-year-olds were restrained, but Meyer and Leisure were not. Dauster was buckled up.

 

The crash happened about 4:40 p.m. Thursday on Route K at Perry County Road 616.

 

The Avenger was totaled, the F350 had no damage.
