Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen meeting

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met Thursday for regular and work sessions.

 

Police Chief Jasen Crump and Alliance Water Resources guy Steve Wilson presented their reports.

 

The items on the consent agenda:

 

Street Closure request: The Ste. Genevieve National Historical Park seeks to close Market Street between 2nd and Main Streets August 25 for a “Birthday Bash” concert in the back yard of the JBV.

 

Street Closure request: The Jour de Fete Committee seeks to close Main Street from South Gabouri to Washington Street, Jefferson Street at Main Street, 2nd Street at Main Street, 2nd Street at South Gabouri Street, 3rd Street and Market Street, and Washington and Main Streets from 2 p.m. August 11 through 6 p.m. August 13th.

 

Resolution: 2023-57: approving a marketing platform development grant with the Missouri Division of Tourism for $10,000, was approved 7-0-1 with Alderman Gary Smith absent.

 

Resolution: 2023-58: an agreement with Selective Insurance for Builder’s Risk Insurance coverage, was approved 7-0-1.

 

New Business:

 

Bill No. 4575: An ageement wth Ste. Genevieve Community Access Television Board for the operating of cable channels 990 and 991 was given first round approval.

 

The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met in a work session following the regular meeting.
