JEFFERSON CITY –Yesterday the Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) launched a public dashboard at https://dss.mo.gov/mis/clcounter/ to provide transparency regarding the resumption of eligibility determinations for MO HealthNet, Missouri’s Medicaid program. The dashboard currently displays data for annual renewals that were due at the end of June, which is the most recent available month. DSS plans to update the dashboard each month.
In February, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that the federal Public Health Emergency (PHE) for COVID-19 would end on Thursday, May 11, 2023. This was nearly three years after the federal government instructed states to pause annual renewal of Medicaid eligibility for enrolled participants. Missouri has opted to conduct redeterminations over the course of 12 months.
When a participant is due to compete their annual renewals the Family Support Division will mail them a letter notifying them of what, if any, steps they need to take to keep their MO HealthNet coverage active. If they are enrolled with one of the state’s managed care plans they may also receive communication from their managed care plan.
Participants can learn more about completing their annual renewal at https://mydss.mo.gov/renew
The mission of the Department of Social Services is to empower Missourians to live safe, healthy, and productive lives.
