JEFFERSON CITY — A Missouri Lottery player who bought Scratchers tickets in Potosi and uncovered a $1 million prize on a “Silver & Gold” game is no stranger to big wins.
“I won $100,000 before,” she shared, referencing an earlier win in another state. The woman’s name has not been disclosed.
Her latest win came when she purchased two tickets at Casey’s General Store, 403 N. Missouri St. in Potosi, and soon uncovered one of the games $1 million top prizes.
“I started scratching and the fifth number I scratched (and matched) on the top row had a $1 million prize!” she laughed.
In FY22, players in Washington County have won more than $15.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $502,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $247,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
