A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023 for 65-year-old Peggy Lorenz of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at her home.
She was born January 19, 1958 in Perryville, Mo. to Roy Herbert Elmer and Doris Irene (Propst) Lorenz.
Survivors include son, Timothy (MaryBeth) Lorenz of Cape Girardeau, MO; two brothers, Kevin Lorenz of Perryville, MO, Scott (Sally) Lorenz of Cape Girardeau, MO; sister, Patricia Lorenz-Amschler of Cape Girardeau, MO; Other, one grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by parents; brother, Dennis Lorenz; sister, Janice Lorenz-Buchheit; brother-in-law, Stanley Amschler.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
She worked as a Mortgage Loan Analyst at The Bank of Missouri.
Peggy loved travel in general, especially with her sister Patricia taking long train and bus tours across the country. She was also the families expert trip planner, regularly organizing large family trips of 20 to 40 people, from where they would go, stay or trip activities and excursions, she did it all.
That love of travel also extended Missouri and Illinois wineries. Apple Creek Vineyard and Winery was a favorite, where she is fondly remembered enjoying the beautiful view with a delicious slice of her favorite, Apple Butter Pizza.
She loved the outdoors and would often sit on her back patio bird watching, hummingbirds especially were a joy to see.
Above all she loved attending the kids football, basketball and other sporting events.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jackson, Mo.
A memorial service for 65-year-old Peggy Lorenz of Perryville will follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Joshua Schmidt officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
