A memorial mass will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023 for 44-year-old Bud Graden Rhodes Jr. of Red Bud, Ill., who passed away at 7:26 pm, Thursday, July 6, 2023 near Waterloo, Illinois.
He was born August 26, 1978 in Red Bud, Illinois to Bud G. and Grace (nee Kipping) Rhodes, Sr.
He is survived by his mother: Grace (Jerry) Garris of Red Bud, Ill.; three children: Graden Presler of Prairie du Rocher, Ill., Austin Hill of Sarasota, Fla., Jayden LaChance of Smithton, Ill.; a brother:
Charlie Helmholt of Belleville, Ill.; a grandmother: Jacqueline Rhodes of Dupo, Ill.; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, two grandfathers: Bud G. Rhodes and Stanford (Patricia) Kipping and a grandmother: Anna Mae Kipping.
He had worked as carpenter.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals games, St. Louis Blues games and Detroit Lions games.
He was a talented musician and played the guitar and also sang.
He enjoyed swimming, diving and jumping off cliffs.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, and 9-9:45 a.m Thursday, July 20, at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud, Ill.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Juy 20, 2023 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Ill. for 44-year-old Bud Graden Rhodes, Jr., of Red Bud, Ill., who passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023. Officiating: Msgr. Dennis Schaefer.
Inurnment will be at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Red Bud, Illinois.
