Screwdriver assault suspect released from hospital, taken to jail

HILLSBORO – Nicholas Davis, the suspect charged with attacking a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy with a screwdriver has been released from the hospital and booked into the Jefferson County jail last Tuesday night, after receiving treatment for a bite from a sheriff’s K-9.

 

 

Meanwhile, the motorist who was the subject of the traffic stop that led to the larger incident, a 38-year-old man from Luebbering, Mo. was arrested on outstanding warrants from Franklin County to include Violation of a Protection Order, Non-Support, and Probation Violation.

 

Additionally, he received Jefferson County citations for Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.

 

The sheriff’s office did not release the motorist’s name.
