STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. – Truman Tucker, a local member of the Boy Scouts of America, has successfully completed an Eagle Scout Project that has brought a fresh look to the Ste. Genevieve County Fair Grounds. Collaborating closely with the fair board, Truman identified the needs of the fairgrounds and designed a project that would meet his requirements while beautifying the area.
Truman’s project began with the removal of the old county fair sign (seen above), followed by the excavation of the outdated posts and concrete. Truman assembled a new sign (seen below) that now proudly welcomes visitors to the fairgrounds.
In addition, he designed a low-maintenance flower bed surrounding the sign, adding a touch of natural beauty to the entrance.
The collaboration between Truman and the fair board resulted in a successful project that not only fulfilled Truman’s requirements to become an Eagle Scout, but also improved the aesthetics of the Ste. Genevieve County Fair Grounds. Truman’s project has earned the heartfelt appreciation of the fair board.
