Armildia E Walker

A funeral will be held Friday for 96-year-old Armildia E Walker of Bloomsdale, Mo. who passed away  Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center in Sainte Genevieve, MO

 

She was born February 8, 1927 in Lesterville, Mo., the daughter of  Henry “Arch” Coleman and Mable (Pinkley) Coleman who both preceded her in death.

 

She is survived by two sons: Gregory Walker (Phyllis A. Roth) of Ste. Genevieve, Mo. and Dennis (Dexter) Walker of Bloomsdale, Mo.; two daughters: Gale (Mitch) Bielecki of Springfield, Mo., and Susette (Earl) Viox of Bloomsdale, Mo.; a sister: Doris Rosalie “Sis” (Elmer) Dunker of Crystal City, Mo.; and grandchildren: Jarrod (Christine) Viox, Laura (Mark) Schweiss, Jill (John III) Davis, Jason (Krista) Viox, Katrina Bielecki (Casye Davidson) and Benjamin (Jeanna) Walker; and nine great grandchildren.

 

She was also preceded in death by her husband: Francis “Fronze” B. Walker (married 10-30-1945); three sisters: Eileen Moreland, Betty Lou Hall, and Yvonne Fallert; three brothers: Daymond Coleman, Darriel Coleman, and Harold “Bud” Coleman.

 

She was a member of St. Agnes Church, member and past regent of the St. Agnes Circle D of I, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Hill and Dale Garden Club, VFW Auxiliary.

 

She was a co-founder of the Hillcrest 4-H Club.

 

Armildia loved flower gardening and enjoyed several crafts including sewing, quilting, crocheting, and ceramics.

 

Many will remember her for the wedding, anniversary, and other special occasion cakes she made so beautifully with loving care.

 

Visitation will be 8:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2023 at the Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.

 

A funeral for 96-year-old Armildia E Walker of Bloomsdale, Mo. will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2023 at St. Agnes Church in Bloomsdale, Mo. The Rev. Michael Benz will officiate.

 

Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in Bloomsdale, MO
