A celebration of life will be held Saturday for 72-year-old Joann A. Donjon of Prairie du Rocher, Illinois, who passed away at 8:13 am, Friday, June 23, 2023 at her residence.
She was born February 3, 1951 to the late James and Effie (nee Winkelmann) Dougherty in Red Bud, Illinois.
Joann married Arnold Donjon August 17, 1968 in Waterloo, Illinois. He survives in Prairie du Rocher.
She is also survived by three children: Laura (David) Gavin of St. Libory, Ill., Eric (Teresa) Donjon of Oakville, Mo. and Jason (Kelly) Donjon of Prairie du Rocher, Ill.; seven grandchildren: Lindsey (Nick) Schomaker, Lexie Gavin, Jacob Donjon, Kayla (Carter) Alexander, Victoria Donjon, Bubba (Meghan) Donjon, Andy Donjon (Candace Shepard), five great-grandchildren: Axl and Koa Schomaker, Cash, CoCo, and Cubb Alexander; four sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Joann enjoyed traveling, quilting, and crafting with her family.
