Faye Marie Rahn

A funeral will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 for 95-year-old Faye Marie Rahn of Red Bud, Ill, who passed away at 3:55 pm, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Cederhurst of Waterloo.

 

She was born  December 26, 1927 to the late Edward B. and Marie R. (nee Bertholl) Pautler in Preston, Ill.

 

She married Albert Rahn on July 8, 1950 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Ill.; he preceded her in death on November 30, 2015.

 

She is survived by a son: Gary (Donna) Rahn of Carrollton, Tex.; a brother in law: Gerald Rahn of Red Bud, Ill.; five nieces and nephews: Kevin (Joy) Pautler of The Villages, Fla., Steve (Jennifer) Rahn of Springfield, Ill., Scott (Laurie) Rahn of St. Louis, Mo., Stuart (Michelle) Rahn of Fenton, Mo. and

Angela (Gary) Most of Waterloo, Ill.; and a niece in law: Carolyn Pautler of Edmond, Okla.

 

She was also preceded in death by a sister: Dale Pautler; a brother: Harvey P. (Meldean) Pautler; two sisters in law: Ethel (Paul) Althoff and Joan Rahn and a nephew: Harvey E. Pautler.

 

Faye worked at First National/First Bank of Red Bud for more than 43 years.

 

She also had been a past president of Randolph County Banker’s Association.

 

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Ill.; was a very active member and past president of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post No. 6632 in Red Bud and until recently, a member of St. Anne’s Council of Catholic Women, Red Bud Women’s Club, Red Bud Senior Circle, and Red Hats.

 

Faye and Albert were long time members of the Prairie du Rocher Saddle Club and spent many years enjoying horseback riding.

 

After her retirement, she and Albert loved to travel and they saw many parts of the world.

 

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud, Ill.

 

A funeral mass for 95-year-old Faye Marie Rahn of Red Bud, Ill. will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Ill. Msgr. Dennis Schaefer will officiating.

 

Interment will be in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Red Bud, Ill.
