Bloomsdale man arrested following a search of his home

STE. GENEVIEVE – A Bloomsdale man faces several charges following the execution of a search warrant at his residence.

 

Ste. Genevieve County Chief Deputy Sheriff Jason Schott says Adam Joseph Naeger is charged with three felonies: trafficking in the first degree, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon.

 

He is being held on a $50,000 cash or surety bond.

 

According to a probable cause statement:

 

“On Wednesday, May 23rd, 2023, Law Enforcement applied for a search warrant for the residence of Adam Joseph Naeger, a white male, residing at 11441 Carron Road in Bloomsdale, Missouri.  The search warrant was signed by Ste. Genevieve County Associate Circuit Judge Timothy Inman.

 

“At approximately 0545 hours (May 31st), Law Enforcement arrived at Adam Naeger’s residence. Naeger was removed from the residence without incident and detained. The residence was then checked for other occupants. None were located.

 

“A search of the interior of the residence, locating the following items:

 

“Item 1- Green plate with glass smoking pipe and approximately one (I)  gram of white crystalline substance. Located on kitchen counter.

 

“Item 2- Black case with glass smoking pipe and baggies. Located on kitchen counter. Item 3- Digital scale. Located on kitchen counter.

 

“Item 4- Pyrex dish with glass smoking pipes and residue. Located in kitchen cabinet. (Pyrex dish photographed but not seized).

 

“Item 5- Ammo box with large number of plastic baggies. Located on top of stove in kitchen

(photographed but not seized).

 

“Item 6- Ammo box containing two (2) clear glass jars containing a white crystalline substance, two (2) black jars containing a white crystalline substance, one (I) plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance, one (I)  plastic bag containing brown powder, and one (I) pill bottle containing assorted pills. I later examined the pills and, using the drugs.com pill identification program, determined that eleven (11) of the pills, which were round, white in color, and imprinted “36” on one side and”+” on the opposite side were likely methylphenidate  hydrochloride, a Schedule Two Controlled Substance.


“Item 7- Winchester Model 9422 rifle, .22 caliber, brown in color wooden stock with blued metal, containing nine (9) rounds of .22 short ammunition and one spent casing.

 

“Officer Thompson conducted a field test of the brown powder and the white crystalline substance inside the black jar, both of which yielded positive results for methamphetamine. The total estimated weight of the white crystalline substance and brown powder is ninety-six (96) grams.”
