STE. GENEVIEVE — The Ste. Genevieve sales tax receipts for May have arrived.
According to the monthly report from the Missouri Department of Revenue, the city’s one percent general sales tax brought in $78,863.58 in May, which is up $5,173.75 from May 2022.
So far this calendar year, proceeds are $352,421.69 which is up $44,226.91 from the first five months of 2022.
Ste. Genevieve’s half-cent sales taxes each brought in a bit more than $36,390 last month; $780 more last month than May of last year. So far this year each of them has brought in around $165,095 which is an increase of $21,801.37.
The city’s consolidated city use tax raised $11,810 in May and has raised 84,930 so far this year.
