JEFFERSON CITY – A 60-year-old Perryville man has died after the motorcycle he was operating south on Highway 61 in Perry County ran off the road on a curve Sunday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports David R. Beck was taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital by ambulance. The patrol says Beck was not using a safety device.
The patrol says after the motorcycle left the roadway, its undercarriage struck the ground and after that initial impact began overturning and ejected Beck.
The crash happened about 7:23 p.m. north of Perry County Road 912.
The motorcycle, a 2008 Harley Davidson received moderate damage.
