Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Historic site offers opportunity to explore the night sky June 16

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Join NASA Solar System Ambassador Jeff Friday, June 16, to view planets and other astronomical phenomena from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site.

Participants will have access to telescopes for constellation and planetary viewing and are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, binoculars and insect repellent. They are also welcome to bring telescopes of their own.

This event free and open to all ages, and there is no registration. For more information, call the historic site office at 636-464-2976. Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site is located at 9090 Old Lemay Ferry Road, Hillsboro.
