JEFFERSON CITY — A 69-year-old Perryville man was involved in a traffic accident on Highway 67 in St. Francois County Friday which sent a 63-year-old St. Peters woman to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the Perryville man, Van Pingel, was the driver of a southbound 2000 Jeep Wrangler which was in the right lane when Pingel attempted to make a left turn into a crossover and his Jeep struck the side of a 2019 Honda Pilot which was in the left lane being driven by 64-year-old Curtis E. Neff of St. Peters. A passenger in the Honda, 63-year-old Angela K. Neff, received minor injuries. She was taken to Parkland Hospital Farmington by a St. Francois County ambulance.
The crash happened about 3:39 p.m. Friday at Canterberry Road.
All three persons were buckled up.
