JEFFERSON CITY — April sales tax receipts were up in Ste. Genevieve, compared to April 2022.
The proceeds were transferred by the Department of Revenue to the city May 5th.
The city’s one percent general sales tax collected $64,843.70 in April, an increase of $15,047 over the previous April.
So far this calendar year, the tax brought in $273,558.11, which is an increase of $39,053.16 over the first four months of 2022.
The city’s capital improvements tax and mass transportation tax each raised around $31,188.68, which is up about $7,047.34 compared to April 2022.
So far this year, the two taxes have each brought in about $128,705.76, which is up about $21,020.64 from the same period last year.
Ste. Genevieve’s consolidated city use tax brought in $14,359.59 in April which was down $3,146.16 from April 2022.
So far this calendar year, the tax has brought in $73,120.11 or an increase of $3,716.78 over the first four months of 2022.
