STE. GENEVIEVE – Maya Watts has been named the Rotary Student of the Month for May from Ste. Genevieve High School.
Maya is the daughter of Mindi and Brian Watts.
Maya’s scholastic honors include: being ranked in the top 15% of her class and earning A Honor Roll each semester. She earned the designation of Summa Cum Laude for the past two school years. She has been involved in his class as an active member of National Honor Society, Future Teachers of America (FTA), Mentors, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). She has been a member of the SGHS volleyball team. During this time, she was a member of the academic All-State team, All-Conference, All-District, and All-State volleyball teams. She was also chosen as the Defensive MVP.
In her free time, Maya enjoys hanging out with friends and family. Maya plans to attend Mineral Area College and then transfer to a four-year university and major in elementary education.
