Perryville city sales tax down for the month, up for the year

PERRYVILLE – The Missouri Department of Revenue transferred the April sales tax receipts to the city of Perryville May 5th.

 

The news was mixed.

 

The city’s one percent general sales tax brought in nearly $400 less in April 2023 than the previous April, however, the year to date sales tax income is $22,168.30 higher than this time last year.

 

The April sales tax receipts brought in $135,584.39. So far this calendar year the tax has brought in $658,370.62 which is up $22,168.30 from the first four months of 2022,

 

The city’s public mass transportation tx brought in $67,792 and the city’s capital improvements tax brought in $50,844.04.

 

Perryville’s consolidated city use tax raised $44,067.27, an increase of $2,169.41 from the previous April. So far this year, the consolidated tax brought in $210,633.10, which is up $17,796.74 from the first four months of 2022.
