JEFFERSON CITY – Three persons were hurt late Monday morning in a traffic crash on I-55.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 66-year-old Rebecca L. Wilkinson of Park Hills, 24-year-old Veronica R. Brown of Springfield, Illinois and 88-year-old Stanley E. Weiss of Bismarck were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance.
The highway patrol reports the crash happened when southbound 2000 Buick Regal driven by Wilkinson attempted to use an emergency turn around and pulled out in front of a southbound 2015 Hyundai Accent driven by Brown. The front of the Hyundai struck the driver side of the Buick. Weiss was a passenger in the Buick.
Brown and Wilkinson were buckled up and Weiss was unrestrained.
The crash happened about 11:29 a.m Monday, May 15.
Both vehicles were total losses.
