Sign, guest lodging requests to be heard by aldermen May 25th

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen will consider two requests for special use permits at is May 25th regular meeting.

 

Both requests were recommended for approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission May 4.

 

Ste. Genevieve Knights of Columbus Council 1037 is requesting a special use permit to allow the installation of a 4×10 foot internally-lit, freestanding, monument-type sign in a  residential district at 600 West Market Street.

 

The request was recommended for approval by a 5-0 vote with three commissioners absent.

 

The commission also recommended approval of a special use permit for a guest lodging establishment at 495 Jefferson Street.

 

The vote was 5-0 with three commissioners absent.

 

The matter will come before the aldermen at its regular meeting at 6 p.m. May 25.
