Take a walk on the wild side at Sam A. Baker State Park May 6

JEFFERSON CITY – Wild edibles surround us in nature and can make delicious additions to our meals. Join a park naturalist at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6, for a leisurely stroll along the popular Shut-Ins Trail to learn about different types of wild edible plants, how to identify them, their medicinal and edible uses, as well as some related historical folklore.

The walk begins at the Mudlick Trail trailhead, located across Highway 143 from the park store. Participants are asked to refrain from picking the plants or wandering off the trail.
