A funeral will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 for 86-year-old Earl Junior Hartmann of Ellis Grove, Illinois, who passed away at 11:20 pm, Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home, Chester, Illinois.
He was born February 7, 1937 in Chester, the son of Henry and Hilda (nee Warhausen) Hartmann who both preceded him in death.
Earl married Pearl Wahl on June 30, 1962; she preceded him in death on October 24, 2022.
He is survived by two children: Karen Verseman of Perryville and Robin Seabaugh of the state of Florida; three siblings: Paul Hartmann of Chester, Louise Vansant of Sparta, and Alma Wahl of Ellis Grove; five grandchildren: John, Amy, Ross, Ryan and Kim; six great grandchildren: James, Alisa, Ethan, Kari, Carson and Annalynn.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Alice (Ralph) Skorcz; a sister: Dorothy Vansant; two brothers: Melvin and Web Hartmann and a grandchild: Eric Skorcz.
He was an auto mechanic and had worked for McConkey’s in Chester.
Earl was a member of First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, Illinois.
He enjoyed working outdoors.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Ellis Grove, Illinois.

Interment will be in the Ellis Grove City Cemetery, Ellis Grove, Illinois.
