Missouri Farm Bureau applauds North Dakota court injunction halting WOTUS

JEFFERSON CITY – Missouri Farm Bureau President Garrett Hawkins has issued the following statement regarding a North Dakota granting an injunction blocking WOTUS:

“Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) applauds the U.S. District Court of North Dakota’s action to halt implementation of the Biden administration’s flawed 2022 WOTUS Final Rule in Missouri and 23 other states.

“We have long been concerned by the massive harm this rule would impose upon our farmers and ranchers, and the confusion, rather than clarity, that would be created upon its implementation.

“MOFB greatly appreciates the legal action taken by Attorney General Bailey to halt this ill-conceived rule and we look forward in working toward regulatory certainty under the Clean Water Act.”
