Thomas Martin Welch, 76, from Perryville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 just 6 days after the love of his life, Lila Welch.

He was born August 5, 1946 to Martin and Loretta Welch in St. Louis, Missouri.

Tom married Lila Henson on May 4, 1996. She passed six days prior to Tom after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tom and Lila loved the outdoors. They traveled as camp hosts throughout National Parks across the country. They enjoyed renaissance fairs and making kettle corn at craft fairs all
over. He was also a master woodworker.

He leaves behind a son and two daughters; Gary Welch, Tammie Lowes and Mary Ann Leible. He was a grandfather to Steph Richardet, Zach Welch, Alex Binner, Chelsi Giesler, Kyle Welch, Trevor Hotop, Brooke Lowes, Wyatt Terbrak, Gavin Terbrak, Megan Newland, Cassondra Smith, Mariah O’Donnell, Sarina O’Donnell, Alana Couch and Nathan Couch. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Bristol, Knox and Piper Richardet; Kristopher and Arianna Taylor; Desmond Byers; Madison and Katherine Hodges; and Baby Boy Giesler due to come in a few weeks. He also leaves behind many numerous family and friends including special friends, John and Tina Fadler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister; Paul Sutton, Bob Brazell and Judy Brock.

A Celebration of Life Service for Tom and Lila will be on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville from 3-5pm with a service at 5pm.

Memorial contributions may be given to Angel Flights or American Cancer Society.

Lila Lee Welch, 68, from Perryville, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on July 17, 1954 to the late Virgil and Gloria Henson and grew up in Bonne Terre, Missouri.

Lila married Thomas M. Welch on May 4, 1996. He survives in Perryville, Missouri.

Along with her husband, she leaves behind a stepson and two stepdaughters; Gary Welch, Tammie Lowes and Mary Ann Leible. She also is survived by a son, daughter-in-law and daughter; John Couch, Heidi Couch and Susan Reynolds.

She was a loving grandmother to Steph Richardet, Zach Welch, Alex Binner, Chelsi Giesler, Kyle Welch, Trevor Hotop, Brooke Lowes, Megan Newland,
Cassondra Smith, Mariah O’Donnell, Sarina O’Donnell, Alana Couch and Nathan Couch. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Bristol, Knox and Piper Richardet; Kristopher
and Arianna Taylor; Desmond Byers; Madison and Katherine Hodges; and Baby Boy Giesler due to come in a few weeks.

She also leaves behind many numerous family and friends including a special sister, Belinda Neely, and special friends, Tina and John Fadler.

Lila lived a full life. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, crafting and spending time with her loved ones. Receiving handcrafted Christmas ornaments is one of the things her grandchildren will miss the most.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville, Missouri.

Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

Because of her long and courageous fight with cancer, she would like any memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
