STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve County voters go to the polls tomorrow.
Among the contested items on the ballot:
A 3/8s percent sales tax to cover the cost of 911 service in the county, a three percent sales tax on the purchase of marijuana in Ste. Genevieve County, and the same tax in Ste. Genevieve City and also in Frohna.
Two candidates for mayor of Ste. Genevieve: Susie Johnson and Brian Keim,
Two candidates for Aldermen Ward 2 in Ste. Genevieve: Sydney M. Strzelczyk and Eric P. Bennett
Two candidates for Alderman Ward 3 in Ste. Genevieve: Joe Steiger and Ashley Armbruster.
Katrina Ullman is seeking re-election as St. Mary city collector, Proposition C on the ballot asks voters whether the position of collector should be eliminated.
St Mary has no candidates on the ballot for two positions on the board of aldermen. The position will be filled by write in candidates.
Ben Brewster has announced he is a write in candidate for the board of aldermen.
