PERRYVILLE — The St.. Vincent High School Elks Student of the Month for March is Grant Abernathy.
Grant is a four year athlete on the basketball and baseball teams. He is a member of the National Honor Society and is on the “A” honor roll. Grant also has many service hours helping at parish events.
John McClain, Grant’s calculus teacher said, “Whether Grant is getting students excited at pep rallies or going all out on the baseball field or basketball court, he brings so much life to not only the senior class, but our entire school. In class, Grant sets a great balance to having fun while also looking deeply toward understanding the material we are learning.”
Grant is the son of Scott and Jill Abernathy of Perryville.
Grant plans to major in computer engineering at the University of Missouri.
