STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve High School Competitive Speech and Debate team hosted the District 7 competition last weekend, but also performed exceptionally, claiming the championship in District Debate.
Individually:
Trey Bloom was the District Champion in Original Oratory and qualifies for state. He also qualified for state in Lincoln Douglas Debate.
Shay Coleman and Jeremiah Kunz qualified for state in Policy Debate.
Bennett Walls placed second in Humorous Interpretation
Jeremiah Kunz placed third in International Extemporaneous Speaking.
Rae Winch placed sixth in Poetry Reading.
Jayden Rickman placed sixth in Prose Reading.
