STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve kicks off the 2023 4th Friday Art Walk season on March 24, when nearly a dozen art spaces will welcome visitors from 6 p.m to 9 p.m.
Owners of Silver Sycamore Gallery at the corner of Market and Third Street will host Tammie Dickerson, demonstrating her batik watercolor technique, and visitors can see the building renovations that are underway. According to owners “there will be new works to see and old wine to share.”
The Sainte Genevieve Art Center & Art Museum at Third and Merchant will feature an Art Guild member exhibit honoring the 40th Anniversary of the Guild’s founding.
In the same area, Common Grounds Coffee House will have art on display, and farther east on Merchant, strollers will find artistic stuff at Rustic Sand Candles and Brix Urban Winery & Market.
In the North Main Street Art and Entertainment District Music Art Love will offer “live music, art and more.” Unique art and crafts will be on display at Rust and Only Child Originals. New work by artist J Rissover will be on display at E•KLeK•TiX Studio & Gallery and next door at Ste. Genevieve’s newest coffee cafe, Rooted Coffee.
“This is our first Art Walk for 2023,” an event spokesperson said. “We hope lots of people will come out to help us kick off the season.”
The 4th Friday Art Walk is open to everyone. Most activities are free.
