STE. GENEVIEVE – Three Ste. Genevieve Middle School students have been recognized at the state level for their outstanding artwork in the Art of Conservation 2022 Songbird Art Contest, hosted by Wildlife Forever.
Eighth grader Jake Parker won first place,
seventh grader Lily Saupe came in second, and
eighth grader Anna Fischer came in third place.
The students had to choose between the following species: Golden-Crowned Kinglet, Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, Brown Creeper, Cedar Waxwing, and Chipping Sparrow.
Jake Parker used colored pencils to show the Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, Lily Saupe used watercolors to show the Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, and Anna Fischer used watercolor to show the Golden-Crowned Kinglet.
