Ste. Gen sales tax receipts were down in February, but the year to date total

STE. GENEVIEVE — Ste. Genevieve general sales tax receipts are up so far this year, but the February check was down nearly $9,000 from February 2022.

The year to date total is $71,971.75, a nearly $26,000 increase from the first two months of 2022.

Two other sales taxes: for mass transportation and capital improvements brought in $32,532 each, and while those checks were down $4,423, the year to date figures for each tax was up nearly $15,000 each.

The Ste. Genevieve tax receipts were deposited in the city’s account at Bloomsdale Bank on March 8th.
