Cory Asbury with CAIN to perform August 16 at Missouri State Fair

SEDALIA – On Wednesday, Aug 16 Christian artists Cory Asbury and CAIN will take the Missouri State Fair Grandstand stage, presented by CFM Insurance, at the 2023 Missouri State Fair. Tickets are $35 for track and $25 for grandstand.

Fueled with a passion to see people encounter the love of the Father, Cory Asbury is a songwriter, singer, speaker, author and worship leader. Cory began leading worship at his local church at age fourteen, and from there launched into full-time worship ministry at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City in 2005, until he joined the Bethel Music Collective in 2015. Cory is known for his hit single “Reckless Love” inspired by Cory’s journey of discovering the Father’s heart through the birth of his first son and the near-loss of his first daughter. The song was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2019 after winning two GMA Dove Awards and two K-Love Fan Awards in 2018. His album, by the same name, hit the top of the charts as Billboard’s #1 Christian Album and won a GMA Dove Award for Worship Album of the Year in 2018. Cory has also received three Billboard Music nominations for Top Christian Artist, Top Christian Album and Top Christian Song of the year. In July of 2020, Cory released To Love A Fool with the hit single “Sparrows” and “The Father’s House”.

Spend five minutes with the members of CAIN and you’ll feel like you’ve spent the afternoon in the sunshine. The band’s effervescent joy spills over onto each person they meet, their bright smiles as contagious as their chill-inducing harmonies. Pouring their perpetual joy into their debut album Rise Up, CAIN – made up of siblings Madison Cain Johnson, Taylor Cain Matz, and Logan Cain – has discovered what it’s like to live their calling while doing their favorite thing, singing about Jesus. The band’s first single, “Rise Up (Lazarus),” went No.1 at Christian radio, holding the spot for multiple weeks while also winning the 2021 K-LOVE Fan Award for “Breakout Single of the Year. Their second single to release and also hit No. 1 for multiple weeks, “Yes He Can,” is a smile in a pop song and might be the truest to who CAIN is, both as a band and individuals. Hearing their songs live, in the car or at home, listeners will be blessed by the songs of Rise Up, an album of hard-won hope that radiates the kind of eternal happiness only found in the goodness of God.

This show joins previously announced opening night, Thursday, Aug. 10 show Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line with Parmalee.
