First grade class at Bloomsdale Elementary School participates in multi-state Valentine’s exchange

STE. GENEVIEVE – A first grade class at Bloomsdale Elementary recently participated in a group valentine’s exchange with several states around the United States of America.

The students worked with their teacher, Mrs. Grein, to create a letter discussing their classroom, school, and community. Then, each student created their own valentine to mail with the letter.

They received 21 valentines from Florida, Kansas, Illinois, South Dakota, Texas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Kentucky, Georgia, Colorado, Minnesota, and California.

The students enjoyed finding the states on the map and talking about their new knowledge about each state.
