Missouri reports 3,487 new COVID-19 cases

JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports 3,487 new cases of COVID-19 in the last seven days.

Older persons had the highest number of new cases: 149 for those aged 85 and up and 85 for those aged 65-84.

Only 21 new cases were recorded among persons aged 12-17.

There were 23 new cases among those under age 12.

The other categories: 18-24, 47 new cases; 25-44, 54 new cases and 45-64: 68 new cases.

Ste. Genevieve County had fewer than 10 new cases.

Perry County also had fewer than 10 new cases.

Jefferson County had 155 new cases, St. Francois 56 new cases, Madison County fewer than 10 new cases, Bollinger fewer than 10 new cases, Cape Girardeau 24 new cases.

Ste. Genevieve, St. Francois and Jefferson Counties were labeled as having medium community levels.

Perry, Madison, Bollinger, and Cape Girardeau had low community levels.
