Class of 2023 has 15 senior Pep Band members and 1 senior Dance Team member

CHESTER –With winter sports ending, local high school pep bands and spirit groups are likewise ending their duties. Basketball is the primary sport during the winter season utilizing the services of pep bands, cheerleading squads and dance groups.

Cheer competitions and dance team competitions are also coming to a close. Most schools have either already recognized senior participants in these groups or have plans to do so very soon.
Chester High School recognized senior basketball players and cheerleaders prior to the start of the final CHS Boys’ Basketball game Tuesday February 14 when Chester hosted Wesclin. At halftime of that game the CHS Music Department recognized senior CHS Pep Band and Dance Team members.

Each senior band or dance team member was recognized on the court at halftime of the varsity game with his or her parents. As they met center court, they received flowers, balloons, and a Hershey’s “Symphony” Chocolate Bar.

Mr. Steve Colonel is Director of the Chester High School Pep Band and Adrianne Kern is the Head Coach of the Chester High School Dance Team. She is assisted by Bailey Misuraca and Emily Eggemeyer.
Mr. Colonel stated, “We want to thank these 15 young senior musicians and our one senior dance team member for their dedication to the Chester High School Music Department. We also extend our well wishes for all of their future endeavors.”
