Rick “Murph” Murphy 71 years old of Sainte Genevieve, MO passed away Friday, February 17, 2023
at home in Sainte Genevieve, MO.
He was born June 9, 1951 in St. Louis, MO
He married Carla (Bauer) Murphy on June 3, 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Murphy of Sainte Genevieve, MO; two daughters: Stephanie Smith (Special Friend Jamie Smith) of DeSoto, Mo. and Savannah Murphy of Charleston, NC; a son, Michael Murphy (Special Friend DeDe Patterson Wilken) of Eureka, MO; grandchildren: Jared (Tara) Smith, Justin Smith, Caulder Murphy, Rowan Murphy, Jett and Bodie Wilken, Christian Brooks, and Charles Brooks; Great Grandchildren, Kayden, Kyson, Jamison, and Emrie.
Preceded in Death By a brother: Pat Murphy; father: Raymond Murphy; and Mother: Ruth (Eddinton) Murphy
There will be a Celebration of Life at a future date
Not many people knew Rick’s real name. Everyone knew him as Murph. He was an avid golfer, and could often be seen sporting clothes that were orange or had an orange T for his Tennessee Vols. Rick couldn’t go anywhere and not know someone.
