Ricky Hunter returns to the court for final conference games, sets new school record for career scoring

PARK HILLS — The final game of the MAAA conference tournament was played Saturday after being suspended Feb. 11th when a Ste. Genevieve player collapsed on the court. Ricky Hunter was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital and was released the following day.

 

Hunter was back on the court Saturday for the completion of the suspended game and finished with 25 points. That pushed Hunter’s career scoring count passed the existing school record set by Kory Faulkner of 1,405. Hunter’s total career scoring and the new record is 1,428.

 

Unfortunately for the Dragons, Central won the game 80-55 and the conference tournament championship.
