COSLHS FFA participates in public speaking event

EVANSVILLE, Ill. — Christ Our Savior FFA chapter took fifth place and 10th place at the Public Speaking CDE held at Marissa High School.

Alyssa Heimann placed fifth in the varsity prepared category and Brianna Brake place 10th in the FFA creed speaking contest.

 

Isaac Luebkemann participated in the varsity extemporaneous category and

 

Charlie Rahlfs participated in the junior varsity extemporaneous category.

 

Alyssa wrote a paper on Farmers mental health and then had to give a 6-8 minute speech.

 

Brianna had to memorize the FFA creed which is five paragraphs. She then had to say it for memory to a panel of judges. Isaac and Charlie were given an ag related topic at the contest.

 

They were given 30 minutes to research the topic. After the 30 minutes they were to give a 4-6 minute speech about the topic. All of the members did a great job.
