STE. GENEVIEVE — The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen met last night in regular and work sessions for just over one hour.
Consent agenda was approved.
Among the items on the consent agenda was a request to close Main Street from Merchant to Jefferson for the StG Gravel Classic Bicycle Race Sunday, April 16 and to close Progress Parkway from 8:45 to 11 a.m. for the annual Polar Bear 5K February 18.
Resolution 2023-15 declaring four steel poles and four lights to be surplus property.
The following ordinances were given approval:
Bill No. 4534, an agreement with the county for 911 dispatching, second reading passed 8 yes, 0 no.
Bill No. 4535, removing offenses related to the recreational use of marijuana from the code. 2nd reading.
Bill No. 4538 raising the city attorney’s fee to $175 an hour, second reading passed 8 yes, 0 no, 0 absent.
Bid for 4 sets of turnout gear was approved.
Bill No. 4539 agreement with Cochran Engineering for the Ninth Street Improvement Project, 1st reading passed. 2nd reading passed 8 yes, 0 no,
Bill No. 4540 lease purchase agreement with First State Community Bank, for two police cars. 1st reading passed. 2nd reading passed 8 yes, 0 no, 0 absent.
Bill No. 4541, amending the personnel code. 1st reading passed.
