JEFFERSON CITY — A 47-year-old Cape Girardeau man was hurt in a traffic crash on I-55 in Perry County Thursday morning.
Matthew J. Bommarito was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau by Perry County Ambulance.
The patrol says the crash happened when a southbound 2013 Chevrolet 1500 driven by 51-year-old Jeffery D. Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau was struck by the 2022 Ford F250 Bommarito was driving, when Seabaugh slowed to make an improper U-turn.
The crash happened about 6:20 a.m. at the 123 mile marker in Perry County.
Both drivers were buckled up.
Both vehicles received extensive damage.
