Two Ste. Genevieve men hurt in Highway 61 crash

JEFFERSON CITY — Two Ste. Genevieve men suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 61 Tuesday evening in Ste. Genevieve County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 43-year-old Jeremy C. Donze Sr. and 20-year-old Trenton Shipman were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for treatment.

The patrol says the crash happened when a westbound 2004 Infiniti QX56 driven by Shipman turned into the path of a northbound 1996 GMC Sierra driven by Donze. The front of the Infiniti struck the front of the Sierra.

The crash happened about 6:57 p.m. at the intersection of Village Drive.

The patrol says Donze was buckled up but Shipman was not.

Both vehicles were total losses.
