Missouri Department of Natural Resources to host second public hearing on Bipartisan Infrastructure Law grid resilience funding

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold a public hearing Monday, Feb. 6, to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on the department’s draft final application for grid resilience formula funding under Section 40101(d) of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

 

Funds under this provision may be provided to entities including electric grid operators, electricity storage operators, electricity generators, transmission owners or operators, distribution providers and fuel suppliers. These entities may use the funds to improve the electric grid’s resilience against disruptive events through measures such as utility pole management, power line relocation or reconductoring, and microgrids. The funds may also be used for training, reskilling, recruitment and retention of skilled and properly credentialed workers to perform the work required for eligible improvement measures.

 

The public hearing will be held via Webex from 2 to 3:30 p.m. or until all verbal comments for public record are received.
