New COVID 19 cases in Missouri fall 23 percent

JEFFERSON CITY – The number of new COVID-19 cases in Missouri has fallen significantly from the previous number.

 

This week 3,923 new cases were reported by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. The previous week, the number was 5,100, that’s a drop of 23 percent.

 

There were 17 new cases in Ste. Genevieve County compared to 25 the previous week. That is about 95 per 100,000 population.

 

There were fewer than 10 new cases in Perry County compared to 14 the previous week. That is about 31 per 100,000 population.

 

Bollinger County had fewer than 10 new cases, compared to fewer than 10 the previous week. That is about 31 per 100,000 population.

 

St. Francois County had 26 new cases, compared to 50 the previous week. That is about 39 per 100,000 population.

 

Cape Girardeau County had 46 new cases, compared to 69 the previous week. That is about 58 per 100,000 population.

 

Jefferson County had 148 new cases, compared to 195 the previous week. That is about 65 per 100,000 population.

Ste. Genevieve, St. Francois and Jefferson Counties are among the Missouri Counties listed as having medium community level counties.

 

Perry, Bollinger and Cape Girardeau are listed as having low community levels.
