A memorial serivce will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 for 93-year-old Evelyn M Boyd of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, Mo.
She was born May 3, 1929 in Delta, Mo. the daughter of Herman Maisel and Dottie (Nothdurft) Maisel who both preceded her in death.
She married William Boyd December 24, 1964. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter: Elizabeth Mitchell of Festus, Mo.; a son: John (Debbie) Mitchell of Collinsville, Ill.; a sister: Verla Klaus; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sons: David Mitchell, James Mitchell, and William “Billy” Boyd II; a daughter: Laura Cunningham; a sister: Maxine (William) Lemons; and a brother-in-law: Donald Klaus.
Evelyn was a member of VFW Auxiliary.
She enjoyed quilting and was an excellent seamstress.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
A memorial service for 93-year-old Evelyn M Boyd of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. The Rev. Craig Reiter will officiate.
Burial will be at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
