A funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023 for 96-year-old Aileen Portell of Sainte Genevieve, Mo. who passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 At The Arbors at Parkwood Meadows in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
She was born July 22, 1926 in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
She is survived by: four daughters: Ann Portell of Greenville, S.C., Pat (Steve) Robertson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Clare (Joe) Rozier of Sainte Genevieve, Mo., and Arleen (Louis) Elizondo of San Antonio, Tex,; a son: Ralph (Leila) Portell Jr. of Sterling, Alaska; grandchildren: Matthew Hoyle, Nicholas Robertson, Rae Anderson, Anthony Robertson, Joseph Rozier, Fr. Michael Rozier, SJ, Maria Kiphart, J. Eli Portell, Katherine Aileen Portell, Jon Paul Elizondo, and Clare Elizondo; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: husband: Ralph B. Portell, Sr.; five brothers: Elmer Donze, Bill Donze, Norbert Donze, Donald Donze, and Jerome Donze; two sisters: Doris Neal, and Aldine; father: Lawrence William Donze; mother: Mary Elizabeth (Huck) Donze; two grandsons: Ben Hoyle and Marc Elizondo.
Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. at Church of Ste. Genevieve in Sainte Genevieve, Mo. Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 9:30-11 a.m.
A funeral for 96-year-old Aileen Portell of Sainte Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Clergy will be Fr. Michael Rozier, SJ
Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the Ste. Genevieve Parish Choir or Valle Schools Foundation
Aileen Enjoyed sewing, singing in the church choir, working in her yard, most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
