JEFFERSON CITY — A 33-year-old Paris, Tenn. man suffered minor injuries in a traffic crash Wednesday morning on I-55 in Ste. Genevieve County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Brandon K. Etzel was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by ambulance.
The patrol says Etzel was the driver of a southbound 2022 Chevrolet Silverado which slowed for a traffic crash when a 2011 Freightliner driven by 64-year-old Joseph A. Renneker of Belleville struck the pick up’s towed unit. Renneker, who was buckled up, was not hurt.
The crash happened about 8:15 a.m. at the 157.4 mile marker.
The Silverado had extensive damage and the Freightliner received moderate damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
