High School Boys Basketball
PERRYVILLE – The 9-6 varsity St. Vincent Indians lost at Advance 71-58.
St. Vincent led 22-19 after one, Advance led 37-33 at the half and Advance was up 49-43 after three. Advance outscored St. Vincent 22-15 in the fourth quarter for the final margin.
Simon Unterreiner has 19 points, Blake Monier had 16, Payton Strattman and Dylan Dewilde each had eight points, Grant Abernathy had six and Jacob Schremp had one.
With the loss, the varsity is 9-7 on the season.
The junior varsity lost 69-63 at Advance to fall to 11-3 on the season.
Max Wheeler had 23 points, Wyatt Winkler had 19, Parker Ellis has 12, Boston Tarillion had six, Tyler Henneman had one. (One player’s scoring was not received due to audio break up).
The St. Vincent varsity and junior varsity teams will play Friday night at Oran.
PERRYVILLE — Perryville plays at Chester tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Chester Invitational Tournament.
Valle Catholic of Ste. Genevieve plays New Athens at 6 p.m. in tonight’s tournament action.
The CIT began last night with Gibault beating Valmeyer 73-53 and Lovejoy was scheduled to play Saxony Lutheran but the score was not reported.
Two more games Wednesday and two more Thursday night.
The tournament takes a break Friday and then has four games Saturday: seventh place at 2:30, consolation final at 4, third place at 5:30 and the championship game at 7 p.m.
STE. GENEVIEVE — The Ste. Genevieve plays at North County Friday night.
High School Girls Basketball
CHESTER – Chester lost at Red Bud 65-49 to fall to 10-10 on the season.
The Lady Jackets play at Carlyle Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
PERRYVILLE – The St. Vincent Lady Indians were scheduled to play Valle Catholic last night but the score was not reported.
The Lady Indians host Grandview Thursday at 5:30.
The Lady Warriors host Grandview tonight at 5:30.
PERRYVILLE – The Perryville Lady Pirates lost at Herculaneum 51-36 last night to fall to 10-5 on the season.
Perryville plays at Woodland Monday night.
JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran lost at Park Hills Central 60-35.
The Lady Crusaders play Fredericktown Monday at 6.
STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve high school varsity girls are off until Thursday when they play North County at 7:30 p.m.
In Middle School Basketball
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve Middle School sdplit their games with Bismarck Tuesday.
The seventh grade girls lost 27-17.
They will play Fredericktown today in their final game before the conference tourney.
The seventh grade boys defeated Bismarck 49-29 and the eighth grade boys also topped Bismarck 51-28.
In High School Wrestling
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle won at St. Francis Borgia 51-24.
The Warriors wrestle Park Hills and the Lift for Life Academy Charter School Tuesday.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve girls and boys wrestle Jackson and Sikeston Wednesday.
